About the Sorghum Database
Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor [L.] Moench) is a C4 plant and an important bioenergy-producing plant. It provide food, feed, fiber, and fuel. We have gathered genome data and functional annotations to construct a sorghum database that will predict gene functions. The lignin pathway is the major biological process for lignin biosynthesis, and it is a key factor that hinders cellulose transfer to bioethanol, providing fuel. The sorghum analysis platform uses network, gene set enrichment, and motif analyses to obtain the enzymes related to pathway regulation.
