In G. raimondii, there are a total of 1979 genes classified as protein kinases or phosphatases using the rules from iTAK and AthKD, which are based on the PlantsP Kinase Classification (PPC) rules from PlantsP. All these genes are in 97 PPC accessions, including five un-classified PPCs. Then these classifications were reconfirmed based on the domain alignments of Pfam (version 26.0) databases. The confidence of these predictions were further supported by the function descriptions or family classifications of Arabidopsis best hits from TAIR.
